What’s involved
These are four FULL days coaching with a lot of content crammed into each day. We’ll start off by getting the basics nailed and working through to advanced techniques covering everything from bike set-up to dynamic movement on the trail.
At the end of each day you’ll receive your own tailored report from goals to hit and specific areas to practice before your next session. You’ll also have online access to your coach between sessions for help or with any queries you may have.
This course has been specifically designed to deliver the best bang-for-buck in bringing your riding on leaps and bounds.
Each session ties neatly into each other, with a three week window to practice and ride between sessions giving a great opportunity for repeated learning without the chance of slipping back into bad habits.
This is not a single, expensive ‘learn for a day and send you on your way’ session. Mountain biking has so many intrinsic techniques to be learned, and we think this tailor made boot camp approach is a great environment to really mesh all of it together.
Day 1
build from the basics, body position, key and range of movement, cornering part 1
The first day may sound simple but think again, getting the basics dialled is so important to allow progression to continue.
What we teach you
- Proper body position on the bike to bring stability, control and confidence on the trail.
- Key movements on the bike that must first be dialed before advancing to more advance techniques. These will cross over techniques and come up more than once as sessions go on.
- Range of movement to smoothen out the trail and tame trail features
- Begin to learn where to be heavy on the bike and where to be light helping find grip, balance and control.
- Braking – how to brake & where to brake
- Cornering Part 1
- Bike set up tips and tweaks
Day 2
Jumps, flow finding, neutralising the trail, dynamic movement
The second day is a highly technical day of learning, it will be intense but getting this information early means you have more opportunity to build on it. This is be a really rewarding day if you’re willing to put the work in – with increased confidence, grip and bike control all coming your way.
What we teach you
- Learning to jump with control
- Learn to neutralise bumps, undulations and big trail features without losing composure.
- Cornering part 2 – adding dynamic movement to find even more grip.
- Use dynamic movement to rail berms and carry speed out.
- Use dynamic movements in all areas of the trail creating comfort, confidence, time & FLOW
- Use knowledge gained to read trail and pump for speed
- Bike set up tips and tweaks
Day 3
Finding grip in tech terrain, braking, how to tackle steep stuff
The third day is working on that love or hate steep stuff. With the knowledge already gained to this point you will already be feeling a lot better about it. Breaking it down on the day we will be hunting for that elusive grip and showing you where to find it in places you didn’t think possible.
What we teach you

Day 4
Putting it all together on the trail, reading the trail, track analysis and timed sections, the art of race craft
The fourth and final day will be a highly enjoyable one as we set about putting it all together and working through sections of trail.
There will be plenty opportunity to practise all aspects of the techniques covered so far couple with a lot of riding to really hit home and start to make these techniques autonomous. Before the day is done we will take time to talk and plan how we can all keep improving on our bikes without losing the fun.
What we teach you
- Learn how to read a trail quickly, pick lines and hit them with confidence and control.
- Sectioning trails, analysing line choice and putting it all together on a challenging trail.
